Chimica et Natura Acta
Peer Review Policy
Chimica et Natura Acta (CNA) employs a single-blind peer review process in which the reviewers remain anonymous, while the identities of the authors are known to the reviewers.
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment to determine its suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with the journal's submission requirements. As part of this screening process, all manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that fail to meet the journal's ethical standards or exhibit significant plagiarism may be rejected without peer review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area.
Reviewers assess the scientific quality, originality, significance, methodology, validity of the results, and clarity of the manuscript. Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editors may request revisions from the authors.
Editorial decisions are made based on the reviewers' recommendations, the scientific merit of the manuscript, and its relevance to the journal's scope. The Editor-in-Chief and handling editors reserve the right to make the final decision regarding publication.
Possible editorial decisions include:
- Accept without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
