Abstract

Golf course grasses should be maintained in order to keep its quality. The field study was conducted to know the herbicide mixture effect of Monosodium methanearsonate (MSMA) and 2,4- dichloropenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D) to control of three kind of weeds, that is Axonopus compressus, Mimosa pudica and Cyperus rotundus at highland golf turfgrass Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.). The experiment design used was Randomized Block Design with factorial pattern, with two factor, that is MSMA herbicide (M) and 2,4-D (D), each factor consist of five level and replicated two times. Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) and weeds dry weight was observed at 10, 20 and 30 days after aplication (DAA). The result of experiment show that all herbicide treatment of cause visual damage to Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) which different in damage level with period effect. Treatment of MSMA and 2,4-D highest dose (2,5 kg/ha and 2,24 kg/ha), independently result lowest dry weight of Axonopus compressus and Mimosa pudica, at 30 DAA observation. MSMA treatment only affected Cyperus rotundus dry weight at 10 DAA
