Abstract
The experiment aimed to find out combination effect of N, P, Kfertilizer and compost on growthandthe yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) of Bella cultivar on ultisols has been conducted from April 2013 to May 2013 in experiment stationfaculty of agriculture, University of Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang District, West Javawith altitude ± 700 meters above sea level. The experiment was arranged as Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of eight treatmentsand four replications. The combinations were A (without fertilizer); B (138 kg N/ha+ 89,7 kg P205/ha + 108kg K20/ha); C (3 ton/ha compost); D (69 kg N/ha + 44,8 kg P205/ha + 54kg K20/ha + 3 ton/ha compost); E (103,5 kg N/ha + 67,2 kg P205/ha + 81kg K20/ha + 3 ton/ha compost); F (138 kg N/ha + 89,7 kg P205/ha + 108kgK20/ha + 3 ton/ha compost); G (103,5 kg N/ha + 67,2 kg P205/ha + 81kgK20/ha + 1,5 ton/ha compost); dan H (103,5 kg N/ha + 67,2 kg P205/ha + 81kgK20/ha + 2,25 ton/ha compost). Combination ¾ dosage of N, P, K fertilizer and ½ dosage of compost on treatment was dosage that can be recommended for cucumber plant fertilizing which use of fertilizer in this combination was sufficcient to support optimum growth and yield cucumber of Bella cultivar on ultisols gave yield 849.38 g/plant (28.3 ton per ha)and gave grade A 51.01 %
