Jurnal Ilmu Ternak Universitas Padjadjaran with registered number ISSN 1410-5659 (print) ISSN 2621-5144 (online) is a scientific open access journal published by Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Padjadjaran in collaboration with Perkumpulan Insinyur dan Sarjana Peternakan Indonesia (ISPI).

Jurnal Ilmu Ternak Universitas Padjadjaran encompasses a broad range of research topics in animal sciences including breeding and genetics, reproduction and physiology, nutrition, feed sciences, agrostology, animal products, biotechnology, behaviour, welfare, health, livestock farming system, socio-economic, and policy. Starting from 2025, Jurnal Ilmu Ternak Universitas Padjadjaran publishes three issues a year, on March, July and November.

Jurnal Ilmu Ternak Universitas Padjadjaran accepts submissions of original articles that have not been published elsewhere nor being considered or processed for publication anywhere, and demonstrate no plagiarism. The prerequisites, standards, and format of the manuscript are listed in the author guidelines and templates. Manuscript will be reviewed by at least two referees.

Jurnal Ilmu Ternak Universitas Padjadjaran has been accredited as the scientific journal with category "Sinta 2" for five years (2023-2027) based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia 177/E/KPT/2024.
